This is number one in a series of three mixed media collages called “A MURDER OF CROWS”. Probably one of the greatest collective nouns around A MURDER. It is right up there with A GAGGLE! Flock and School just fade in comparison really.
Blue Collection is a series of 16 wooden tiles that slide into a frame. They can be moved around to change up the collection. I love the playfulness of this. When friends and family come to visit they often change the tiles around and I don’t notice until they have left. The collection has two themes actually : the colour theme is blue, cream, black and white and the content theme is nature, architecture, text and anatomy. The tiles are all finished on the back with maps. All my work is neatly finished on the back with old papers. The tiles also stand up easily on a shelf and can be stacked.
Blue Collection: 16 tiles
The tiles can be removed from the frame and moved about to change the look of the piece at anytime.
Each tile has it’s own individual composition and can be purchased separately. So one can have a set of 3, 6 or 9 say to stand on a shelf or hang on the wall. Click on the thumbnails to see a larger image of each tile.
The backs of the tiles are neatly finished with old maps.
